And so here I sit in the afterbirth of the new year, those lazy awkward messy hours following midnight when you have nowhere to go and no one to drink with. Not that I'm drinking anything but ginger ale out of the bottle. I look like a schoolgirl with my hair spilling messily out of the headband I knitted myself, and my kameez are pulled over a long sleeved t-shirt like the jumpers I wore every so often in elementary school. I suppose I am a schoolgirl still, technically. Not making any sense. Time for Margaret Atwood and myself to go to bed, then.
